GILLT is formed on over 35 years experience.
The History of GILLT
Company Director, Jag Gill was born in India and was 7 years old when together with his mother and father and 2 older brothers migrated to UK from Punjab in 1967.
Leaving the country of his birth was a great emotional upheaval but the opportunities that the new found land offered seemed much greater.
The family settled, studied and continued to work in Wolverhampton ever since and it is this town that Jag Gill feels he owes much to.
After graduating in Civil Engineering from Plymouth University he returned to Wolverhampton to commence his initiation into the ‘WORLD OF TARMAC’ by starting his apprenticeship with one of the most reputable Surfacing companies in Wolverhampton, Tarmac Roadstone Ltd.
GILLT was formed
After spending 8 years in the surfacing industry, Jag Gill set up by himself in the name of GILLT Construction Ltd named after his surname GILL.
Almost 35 years in the making , Jag Gill gained much of his experience from working abroad in Ireland and on contracts such as the famous Ayrton Senna’s Formula One home track in San Paolo, Brazil and on other major motorway and RAF airbase surfacing contracts in UK.
Jag Gill is now firmly settled in Wolverhampton and offers his knowledge and expertise through constructing roads and carparks for customers both public and private primarily covering the West Midlands area but is able to cover the whole of UK depending on the complexity of the job.
